Made of hardened carbon chromium bearing steel, most widely used material for bearing rings and rolling elements.

Single row 4-point contact ball bearings have solid outer rings and split inner ring, they can support high axial loads in both directions and small radial loads acting simultaneously.
They are similar in their structure to single row radial angular contact ball bearings. The outer ring, with ball and cage assembly, can be mounted separately from the two inner ring halves. These type bearings can operate at very high speeds are more suitable than deep groove ball bearings for supporting large axial forces. Require less axial space than double row angular contact ball bearings.
